The feed of mentions can be sorted using three key criteria: Date, Reach, and Relevance.
While Relevance largely mirrors Reach in that mentions impacting the most people appear at the top, there are notable exceptions. This deviation is the essence of relevance sorting, where, under certain circumstances, mentions with lesser reach can surpass those with greater reach in the ranking.
Consider the comparison between a mention in a YouTube description and a mention in a podcast discussion. Generally, the podcast mention is deemed more significant than than the one in the YouTube description. However, should the YouTube mention gain a high enough reach, it would surpass the podcast mention in the feed anyways.
This comparison extends across all media types and their respective mention types and are constantly refined by AI. The goal is to fine-tune relevance sorting continually, ensuring it remains as effective as possible.
