Net Sentiment shows whether the overall tone of your mentions is positive or negative.
It gives you a quick overview of how your brand, keywords, or topics are perceived
- and how that perception changes over time.
How is it calculated?
Net Sentiment is calculated by subtracting the percentage of negative mentions from the percentage of positive mentions.
If 35% of your mentions are positive, 59% are neutral, and 6% are negative, your Net Sentiment is +29% (35 β 6).
A higher score means more positive than negative coverage. Comparing Net Sentiment across time periods helps you identify shifts in overall tone.
